MyTattoo Collection :) Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Eye Shadows- Review, Swatches and Video Tutorials

It's not that I'm late to the party. I know these shadows  are everywhere, and that there are already so many posts and reviews about them, but somehow, lately I realised there are so many people who even 4 years after the Color Tattoo has being launched, are still not familiar with these magic in a jar. OH NO!

Since I use the Color Tattoo eye shadows on a daily basis, I decided I really want to share with you my own little collection, and show you how I work with them.

So Let's started!

So what are you, really, Color Tattoo???

Maybelline Color Tattoo are actually cream eye shadows, which got their name thanks to their amazing staying power: Use them alone as a shadow, or underneath as a primer, and get more than 10 hours of creasing free makeup! They actually claim for 24 hr hold, but I'm not so sure about that... Anyway, they are waterproof an very very strong!
You can get these shadows in dozens of shades, metallic or matte, they are all beautiful!
The shadows are very pigmented, so you can go very bold or very soft- it all depends on the blending.

My Collection

I have 8 eye eye shadows in my small collection: 6 of them are metallic, and 2 are Matte. Meet my models:
Edgy Emerald. Metallic Turquoise Green- very unique shade, for brave girls only!

A real pretty. This is a metallic golden brown eyeshadow. great for both day and evening makeup.

Too Cool. Metallic white eyeshadow. This one will make every eyeshadow put on top of it pop.
Fierce & Tangy. Matte orange- So Summer!
Pomegranate Punk. Metallic burgundy wine shade. A MUST HAVE fall color!

Barely Branded. A beautiful metallic cream shade. This one is very useful, for everyday or for glowy evening makeup. Also a great alternative for eyeshadow primer.

Inked in Pink. A beautiful metallic pink shade. great as a summer/spring everyday color.

Permanent Taupe. Matte taupe shade. great for winter, underneath dark shadows, or as a blending shade.

How to apply the Color Tattoo eye shadows?

What's so great about these eye shadows is that you don't really need any special tool or brush to apply them. All you really need is 2 clean fingers: One for spreading the shadow all over the lid, and another one for blending the edges, as you can see in the following videos.

If you prefer using brushes, of course you can do it. A synthetic brush would be best since we are talking about creamy product. My favorite brush to apply the Color Tattoo shadows is the Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush, which is wonderful for both applying and blending the shadows.
